Tableau Integration

Access and update Tableau data from Paragon.

Setup Guide

1. Get Tableau Server Name and Site ID

You can find your Tableau Server Name and Site ID in your site URL. Your Tableau Personal Access Token can be found in the Account Settings section of your Tableau account. For more information, reference Tableau's documentation here.

2. Add Tableau to Paragon

To add Tableau to Paragon, click the "+" button in the workflow canvas and choose Tableau from the sidebar. Under Connect your Tableau account, choose "Add new account for Tableau" and enter your Tableau Server Name, Site ID, and Personal Access Token.

3. Query Tableau

Once your Tableau account is connected, you can add steps to perform the following actions:

  • Add data quality warning

  • Update data quality warning

  • Update data quality warning by ID

  • Query data quality warning by content

  • Update data quality warning by content

When entering data quality warnings in Tableau you can reference data from previous steps by typing {{ to invoke the variable menu.

Connecting to your user's Tableau account

To connect to your user's Tableau account in Paragon, click the "+" button in the workflow canvas and choose Tableau from the sidebar. Under Connect your Tableau account, choose "Provide user's account credentials" and enter your user's Tableau Server Name, Site ID, and Personal Access Token.

When entering your user's Tableau Server Name, Site ID, and Personal Access Token, you can reference data from previous steps by typing {{ to invoke the variable menu.
